Have You Tried MT4 Beta2 Yet?

I installed the MT4 new beta version 2, this time via ssl and it was so much quicker. Like about a 10th of the time it took to upload the beta1 version. MT didn’t prompt me to upgrade and the only way I was sure I was running this new version was to look down the bottom of the screen and see what version MT reported. All good: Movable Type version 4.0-beta2-20070612. The first thing that jumps out at me as a difference is the new awesome “live” preview. I love it! Thank you guys, you heard my prayer.

Template Modules looks interesting too. I added text to the footer, but still not sure how to add the footer to the main page. That will need further investigation. This beta use is all touch and go, or rather trial and error.

Autosave is now part of the beta version. I had this plugin installed as part of MT 3.5 but it didn’t work well with FastCGI. I haven’t switched to FastCGI with this beta yet, best to get a handle on how things work first.
