I think the spam control in this new version stinks. So far I’ve had trackback links posted every day from pharmaceutical companies. I haven’t tried adding in specific plugins targeted for spam, but I might give it a go. Maybe even a honeypot that catches spammers from known sites. I was hoping that sixapart would have a stringent spam control in place, and perhaps for comments that is the case, but not so for trackbacks. This site has only 4 entries for God’s sake. It didn’t take the spambots long to find.
