Trackback Spam

Unfortunately, I’m getting lots of trackback spam and today turned this feature off. I have several keywords in Spam Filter that should be stopping the trackback posts (pharmaceuticals) but I’m still getting them. Akismet is not working properly and the activity log shows that Akismet dies every time a trackback is posted, hence why they’re getting through.

I’ve downloaded the latest version of MT4 (rc1b) but have yet to upload it. Perhaps then I will reinstate trackbacks and see how it goes.

I would like to see on the email notification some way to junk a comment or trackback. For now, the only links on the notification is to approve the comment or trackback or view the trackback site. I usually don’t want to do either.
